Winner of many awards for the best set design in such theatre and film works as Bernarda Alba (“Bravo” Award, 2017), An O. Henry Christmas (“Golden Mask” National Theatre Award, 2016), Four Women (KONIK Film Festival, 2013), Rostand’s Cyrano de Bergerac (“Your Chance” Award, 2011).

BIOGRAPHY

Timofei Ryabushinsky graduated from faculty of scenography and theatre technology of Moscow Art Theatre School (workshop of Oleg Sheintsis, classes of Alexey Kondratyev and Victor Shilkrot). In 2012 he completed his postgraduate at the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (GITIS).

As set designer, he has staged about twenty drama performances and musicals. Has worked such directors as Alexey Frandetti (Austen’s Pride and Prejudice in Moscow Art Theatre, LaChiusa’s Bernarda Alba based on the play by Federico García Lorca and Casanova based on Tsvetaeva’s Adventure in Sverdlovsk Theatre of Musical Comedy, Ekstrom’s An O. Henry Christmas in Moscow Pushkin Drama Theatre, Stilyagi in Theatre of Nations), Gleb Cherepanov (Dymovskaya’s The Dissident in Moscow Central Theatre of the Russian Army, Gay, Pepusch’s The Beggar's Opera in Volkov Theatre in Yaroslavl), Alexander Khukhlin (Shakespeare’s Windsor Mockers in Red Torch Theatre in Novosibirsk, Vyrypaev’s Illusions in Krasnoyarsk Drama Theatre named after Pushkin), Tufan Imamutdinov (Gogol’s Diary of a Madman in Mayakovsky Theatre, McDonagh’s The Lonesome West and Singer’s Shosha in Theatre of Nations, Gogol’s Marriage in National Theatre in Târgu Mureș, Romania), etc. In 2017 he took part in The Guide to the Orchestra. Le carnival des animaux theatrical concert production at the Bolshoi Theatre.

Since 2013 he has worked as set designer in cinema: Four Women (directed by Anton Kolomeets, 2013), 79th km and The Mile (directed by Dmitry Korabelnikov, 2014), Metamorphoziz (directed by Sergey Taramaev and Lyubov Lvova, 2015), Good Boy (directed by Oksana Karas, 2016), Matter (directed by Yuri Zaitsev, 2017).
