BIOGRAPHY

Sara Blanch studied at the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona, obtaining a master’s degree in Interpretation and Singing. She currently receives advice of the soprano Mariella Devia.

At the age of 16 she made her first appearance with the Young Opera at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya. Later she attended several Opera Studio programs in Barcelona performing Britten's Little Sweep, Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice, Donizetti’s Rita, Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera.

In the last seasons she has debuted at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville and Teatro Verdi in Salerno (Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte), Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona (Massenet’s Thaïs), Teatro de la Zarzuela (Châteux Margaux / La viejecita), Teatro Real Madrid (Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Golden Cockerl, Thaïs), Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo (Donizetti’s L'elisir d'amore). She has performed Norina (Donizetti’s Don Pasquale), Serpina (Pergolesi’s La Serva Padrona), Fanny (Rossini’s La cambiale di matrimonio), Berenice (Rossini’s L'occasione fa il ladro), and Zerlina (Mozart’s Don Giovanni) in several Spanish theatres.

She took part in the Rossini Festival of Pesaro (Folleville, Il viaggio a Reims), the Peralada Festival (Thaïs), the Rossini in Wildbad Opera Festival (Elvira, L'italiana in Algeri, and Adele, Le Comte Ory). Also she sang the role of the Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte) in Sabadell.

Recent and future engagements include Il Turco in Italia in Oviedo, L'italiana in Algeri and Benet Casablancas’s L’enigma de Lea at the Liceu Barcelona, L’elisir d’amor in Palma de Mallorca, Don Pasquale in Riga, and L'italiana in Algeri in Turín as well as several concerts and recitals in different Spanish venues.
